Still trying to get the hang of things, so sorry if every minor edit is getting broadcast.

Today my toddler did an egg hunt at her school. I think she just likes getting the eggs, but doesn't really care about what's in them lol. Doesn't bother me. That's free candy for me!

I'm off work for Good Friday which is nice. I work in schools, and the end of the year is such a slog. There's all the standardized test I have to work around. The students are all stressed. The parents are all mad because final grades for the year are starting to solidify. So getting just a little break from all of that is welcomed. I vow to spend it doing...... NOTHING!

What else, what else? I'm reading Danielewski's (the House of Leaves guy) new book Tom's Crossing. It is so good. I'm a sucker for books that are entirely written in a certain regional voice, not just the dialogue. The entire thing reads like a small town redneck is retelling the story to you. It's folksy, all the while building up a good amount of dread. I like the contrast.

Oh, and am STOKED for the Backrooms movie. I haven't been this excited to see a movie in theaters in while. If you like Backrooms type horror, check out that House of Leaves book I mentioned. It's a similar premise before Backrooms was even a thing.
